The Center for Human Growth Center) provides professional, confidential counseling to the Indiana University Bloomington campus and the greater Bloomington and south-central Indiana communities. Based in the Counseling and Educational Psychology department, the Center has been a practicum, training, and research site for almost 35 years. One of the reasons the Center has been a prolific research site for many years is that it has enjoyed a solid reputation as a high-quality, low-cost community mental health resource. Another reason is the Center's dedication to using the latest technologies to enhance counseling research, training, and practice. An array of research and service opportunities is made available, both by the Center and by the Center's partnerships with community agencies. Together, these opportunities are designed to equip trainees with the necessary skills to begin embarking on their careers as scientist-practitioners.
