The mission of the Center for Research & Scholarship is to support the development and conduct of all research/scholarly activities of faculty at Indiana University School of Nursing, particularly on the IUPUI campus. The following activities support this mission:

  1. provision for faculty development in the areas of research planning, grant writing, budget preparation, data analyses and research dissemination
  2. facilitation of review and award of intramural research monies (i.e., RIF)
  3. facilitation of joint projects between practitioners and educators
  4. provision of ongoing information about research resources
  5. publication of faculty and student research accomplishments
  6. service as a resource for faculty conducting funded and non-funded research

The Center for Nursing Research publicizes faculty and student research accomplishments, facilitates joint projects between practitioners and educators, and supports the activities of the Patient Care Research Committee. The Center for Nursing Research also houses videotapes and written materials related to research, including files of research instruments, abstracts of nursing studies, and model grant applications.
