The primary function of the Center is to serve the academic community and policy researchers through its commitment to high-quality survey research. The Center focuses on academic, social science, media, and public policy research. The Center provides the management, staff, and facilities required for mail, telephone, in-person, Web, and scanned surveys. In these surveys, which may involve local, state, regional, national, or targeted populations, the sample and study design are tailored to the researcher's individual needs. The Center employs individuals trained in all aspects of survey research: questionnaire design, sampling, interviewing, conducting focus groups, coding, data entry, and data analysis.
