The mission of the Statistics Consortium is to support activities related to statistics on the Bloomington campus. One of the elements of the consortium is the UITS Stat-Math Center, which supports statistical software, and provides a range of statistical consulting services. The consortium also sponsors a series of graduate level statistics courses, some offered in the summer, supplementing the departmental offerings during the regular academic year; and one offered in the fall semester, an introductory graduate level course intended to prepare students for more advanced work in their degree programs. Occasional colloquia presented by visiting statisticians are also sponsored or co-sponsored by the Statistics Consortium.
