The purpose of the Laboratory is to conduct basic and applied research using the techniques of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). The main focus of the research is on structure-function relationships of biological macromolecules. This research is, by its very nature, interdisciplinary, bringing together scientists from the physics, chemistry, and biology departments in the School of Science and from biochemistry, biophysics, and other basic science departments in the School of Medicine. The laboratory provides both training and service functions for scientists interested in learning or using NMR techniques.
