Objective
The goal of this program is to support development, expansion and enhancement of research by faculty at Indiana University Bloomington within all fields of scholarly activity.

Eligible:
Not Eligible:
- Tenured and tenure-eligible faculty
- Non-tenure-track faculty whose evaluation criteria for promotion include research or creative activity with an explanation in the letter of support from their dean or chair
- Emeritus faculty members who are still active in research or creative activity, but some budgetary restrictions may apply. Please contact your fiscal officer with questions.
- Visiting and adjunct faculty members are not eligible.

Award Amount
In general, the total budget should not exceed $75,000, including fringe benefits. However, up to $200,000 will be considered for facilities, equipment, or large scale collaborations.
